U N I S E X  antique hand-embroidered coat
It is made from a vintage hand-embroidered Phulkari khaddar bagh (shawl) from the Punjab state of India, made into this modern eccentric one-of-a-kind coat. The embroidered khaddar that forms the outer layer of the coat will be anywhere between 50-100 years old and was originally made and gifted by a mother or grandmother to their daughter on her wedding day. These shawls are now collector's items as this art and craft has withered in the wake of modernity.

Phulkari: Handspun canvas like cotton with silk floss thread embroidery.
 
The inner lining of the coat is also a thick canvas like cotton.
 
The coats have two side pockets, one inner pocket and one button.
